I have been assigned to take charge and handle for online e-marketing and web-distributions portal for Angkor Palace Resort & Spa in Siem Reap, Cambodia in late March 2006.
To me, as one of a young Cambodian hoteliers, this is an incredible career with full of energy to discover and learn. When I took the role on the first day - there is a BiG question mark came to my face: what is eCommerce, especially for the hospitality business?
I am going thru a hard time to research and study. Finally the result is coming very quick which surprised me. This new business model is now come to Siem Reap. I never forget to thanks my General Manager - Mr. Weng Aow for giving me this opportunity.
Today, Q3 2008, after almost 3 years of ongoing developing the online business for the resort - I am very pleased to inform that I have now able to build up the website for Angkor Palace Resort & Spa and the total revenue generating per online booking has increase drastically. click here to view the press release.
